Chancery House required a high-performance gym flooring installation within a prestigious shared office building in central London. The lower ground floor gym needed to support free weights training and daily use while maintaining a premium finish consistent with the building’s interior.
The primary challenge was controlling noise and vibration transfer into occupied office space above. The solution needed to manage impact from heavy equipment and lifting activity, while remaining durable, safe underfoot, and visually aligned with a high-end workplace environment.
Reflex specified an Acoustic Free Weights Flooring System designed to absorb impact and reduce noise in heavy training zones. This was complemented by an Acoustic Fitness Suite Surround with a precision anti-vibration understructure and oak timber finish, adding further sound insulation while elevating the look of the space.
The installation was planned to provide consistent acoustic performance across the gym footprint, with finishes selected to suit a premium commercial interior. Materials were chosen for resilience and longevity, ensuring the floor could withstand repeated loading, equipment movement, and ongoing daily use.
